Roadrunner Reverse Raffle
The Athletic Department will hold a Reverse Raffle Fundraiser on Sunday March 16th 1:00-4:00pm. The event will be held at T. J. Elliott's, Bowie. How does it work? Each athlete sells one (1) ticket. (You can sell more than one). Tickets cost $60 per ticket. Each ticket includes two (2) people for dinner, non-alcoholic drinks and one number. Every 10th number chosen wins a prize. Last number on the board wins $1,500.00 cash. You Need not be present to win. Checks payable to: Seton Athletics/cash preferred. Return money and the bottom portion of the completed ticket to the Main Office by Tuesday, March 11th. Please click here to view flyer.

Chaperone Assistance Needed
Parents, Still Need to Get Your Hours Completed? Good news! We need chaperone assistance for the Snowball Dance on January 31st from 7:30pm to 11:15pm. Specifically, we need parents who are willing to monitor the parking lots, and who are willing to be inside where the music can be heard (working the check-in table, food and drink tables, and monitoring halls and doors). If you are able to assist, please email Alison Reeves at areeves@setonhs.org by Monday, January 27th. Thank you!

Snowball --- Semi-Formal Dance
SNOWBALL (A Winter White Affair) SEMI-FORMAL DANCE
Parents, this year's snowball dance will be on Friday, January 31st from 8-11pm. Students are required to arrive no later than 9 and cannot leave any earlier than 10:30. Please have a discussion with your daughter about appropriate dress choices as we have been having this conversation at school as well. They have all received an email outlining what is appropriate to wear in conjunction with what is expected of them here at Elizabeth Seton High School. Encourage your daughters to attend and have a good time!

Mother/Daughter Event Postponed
The Parent Organization regrets that the first annual Mother/Daughter event previously scheduled for February 15, has been postponed until further notice. Please watch for more information via the Parent Announce.

- The next Driver's Education class of the year will extend from January 27th through February 19th from 3:00 until 5:00 daily.
- Six hours of driving will be scheduled independently with each student in addition to the above classroom time.
- The course costs $335.00. Tuition payments must be current in order for a student to enroll in the class.

- Students should sign up by January 24th in Mrs. Burke's office.

9th, 10th and 11th grade parents: Standardized test scores have been returned to your students. If you have questions please contact your daughter's counselor. Sophomore parents: If you are interested in meeting with Ms. Roeder and your daughter for Seton Reflections please email mroeder@setonhs.org or call the guidance department. This program will run until everyone who would like to meet has had a chance to do so.

Senatorial Scholarships applications are available in the Guidance Office. The scholarship is for students who live in Legislative District 47. Senator Victor Ramirez. The Future Latino Leaders Law Camp
The Law Camp will be held from July 12 to July 20, 2014 in Washington, D.C. This program is offered free of charge for selected Latina high school students (rising sophomores through seniors) from across the nation. Complete applications must be received by March 15, 2014. The National Museum of Natural History is currently accepting applications for its 2014 internship program, Youth Engagement through Science (YES!). Current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students are eligible to apply. The deadline is January 31, 2014. Participants are required to participate in both the summer and fall sessions of the program for a total of a 16 week commitment. Students must have an interest in natural sciences, cultural studies, planetary sciences, and horticulture. This is a paid internship.
