Concessions/Cook Volunteers for Homecoming

Athletics is looking for parent volunteers to sell concessions and cook on the grills this Saturday, Oct. 19th from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. If interested, please e-mail Coach Cage @ ccage@setonhs.org and include time you are available. Thanks and GO ROADRUNNERS!

Parent Coffee Mornings

Please mark your calendars for the following parent coffees:
Sophomores - Thursday October 17th
Juniors Thursday October 24th
Both will be held at 7:30 a.m. in the library.

Volunteers Needed

The Parent Organization is seeking three non-junior parents to help with serving light refreshments at the Junior Ring Ceremony that will be held the evening of Tuesday, October 29.  Service hours will be provided.  To sign up please click here.

The Parent Organization is seeking parents to help with setup, serving and clean up during our Fall Open House on Sunday, November 3. Service hours will be provided.  If you cannot make it on Sunday to volunteer, you can donate a case of water and earn (1) parent service hour.  To sign up please click here.

Changes in After School Quiet Time

Parents, in order to provide students with enough time to have a snack and then maximize computer usage and quiet time after school, students will now be able to stay in the cafeteria until 3:30 p.m. on regular dismissal days and 2:15 p.m. on 1:30 p.m. dismissal days.  Students will then have the choice of moving to the library, computer lab 220 and computer lab 223 if they are not in a sports or club activity.  At 5:00 p.m., the second floor rooms will close and all remaining students will be brought to the library.

The Main Office will remain open until 5:00 p.m. After 5:00 p.m., students will have to watch for their ride since the Main Office will be closed.  Please be sure to communicate pick up times with your student to avoid unnecessary delays.  Thank you.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help with traffic during Open House on Sunday, November 3rd10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  Interested parties should contact Mrs. Burke at lburke@setonhs.org to volunteer.

Redskins Ticket Raffle

The Athletic Department is raffling off two lower level tickets and a Parking pass for the Redskins vs. Chargers game on November 3 @ 1:00. Drawing will be held during Homecoming on October 19th. (need not be present to win)

The monthly Clubs and Activities Calendar is now under Student Life, and then Clubs and Activities.  Click on the calendar to see what days clubs are meeting. Moderators will notify club members of any changes.  

Math Support

Parents - All Elizabeth Seton High School students are eligible to enroll in free online math tutoring through http://www.studybuddyhelp.org/.
Please ask your daughter to check her email for the registration email or see Mrs. Roeder in guidance.

Athletics - Tryouts

If your daughter wishes to tryout for a winter sport (Indoor Track, Swimming, Basketball), she must have a current (performed after 6/1/13) physical on file in the clinic. If you need a form they can be found on our website under athletics or admissions or click here.

Homecoming Spirit Week Dress Down Themes

Thursday, Oct 17 - Seton Sports: students can dress to support their favorite sports team

Friday, Oct 18 - Seton Spirit: Dress in school colors to show your school pride!

Saturday, Oct 19 - Homecoming: Class attendance competition - the class who has the highest percentage of students in attendance on Saturday will win a free dress down day.

Music Boosters - Volunteers Needed

Music Boosters Volunteers Needed Saturday, November 23, 2013

Dance Marathon is our one large fundraiser for the Music Department at Elizabeth Seton High School. We hope to raise enough funds to cover our annual budget, to pay for the spring music trip to New York City and to help us accomplish our goals of buying new instruments and increasing the scholarships that we offer.

Help us make this year's Dance Marathon a successful and enjoyable event by volunteering to help during the evening of November 23rd. You will earn service hours for your time.  Please volunteer at Sign Up Genius. Tour of Salisbury University

Juniors and Seniors

The Guidance Department is planning a one day tour to Salisbury University for juniors and seniors on Wednesday, October 23rd.  We will tour the campus and talk with Admissions Counselors.  The cost will be $10 for transportation.  Lunch will be provided by Salisbury University.  If your daughter is interested in this school and is not scheduled to attend the Stevenson University and Towson University Campus Tour, please have her come to Guidance to receive the permission slip.  We are bringing 30 students on the trip.  Names will be taken on a first come, first served basis.  If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Lawhorne at alawhorne@setonhs.org or 301-864-4532.

College Scholarship Conference

Come to the 8th Annual College Scholarship Conference   on Saturday, October 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The Conference will feature workshops, information tables presented by local universities and keynote speaker Marianne Ragins, who has earned more than $400,000 in scholarships. This event will prepare high school, college and adult students to make themselves competitive scholarship candidates. Information about financial aid, admissions and college funding will be covered during this one-day event.  Please click here for more information.

Volunteers Needed - Service Hours Available

Crew boosters is looking for volunteers to work the University of Maryland Football Concession Stand # 1 this season. Seton parents earn 8 service hours and non-Seton students over the age of 14 can earn the same. If interested fill out the attached form and select a game.

Concession Stand - Fed-Ex Field

The Track team has secured a concession stand at Fed-Ex Field for the upcoming football season. If any parent or student is interested in assisting with the concession stand, there will a mandatory training. If interested, contact Coach Omar Wilkins via email at  qwilkins@yahoo.com
