Seton Bus Service Changes
This is a reminder to those who have ridden the Seton bus in previous years. Seton will no longer provide service to and from Clinton or Largo. These routes will be served by DeMatha Catholic High School buses.
Those Seton students who wish to take advantage of the bus service with DeMatha must register with DeMatha (dematha.org/parents/bus transportation) and pay a $100.00 registration fee as soon as possible since space is limited on these buses.
Seton will run a bus from Marlo Shopping Center at 3300 Marlo Lane in Forestville to the Eastern Market at 225 7th Street SE in Washington, DC.
If parents have questions about service or wish to sign up for Seton's bus, please contact Mrs. Burke at lburke@setonhs.org. The first day of bus service is Monday, August 26th.
|
Our contact for recording parent service hours is Mr. Andy Espinosa. However, his email address is ( lespinosa@setonhs.org) This is a change from what appeared in the original parent service letter.
|
If your daughter plays a sport there will be a meeting on September 5th @ 6:00 pm in the auditorium. All parents of athletes should attend.

Like Horses? Then join the Seton Equestrian Club. We practice once a week on Saturday morning/early afternoon at Celtic Acres Farm in Upper Marlboro, MD (http://www.celticacresfarm.com/Seton-Equestrian-Team.html). We run both a competitive show team practice as well as a beginner practice, so you do not have to know how to ride to join the Equestrian Club, however you will have to be comfortable at a walk, trot, and canter in order to show. I am the parent of Seton student and I volunteer my time and my horses free of charge to anyone interested in joining the team. For more advanced riders, the Seton Equestrian Club participates in shows run by the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA). The IEA series offers riders in grades 6th-12th a unique opportunity to compete in a sport that is normally not offered in schools. They emphasize a positive atmosphere of fair play, goodwill, and sportsmanship. They allow riders of all levels, the chance to compete in a safe environment. Through the IEA, students have the opportunity to earn scholarships towards their college education through awards in competition and through sportsmanship activities. For more information, you can visit their websitehttp://www.rideiea.org/about/index.html. Anyone interested in joining the team, should email Mrs. Bridget Rice at celticacresfarm@yahoo.com for more information.

Freshmen, Juniors and Seniors are required to purchase their Religion books. Sophomores will be charged a fee on their fee statement to cover the Religion book. This book will then be given to them in class once school starts.
Clarification: There are two books Juniors must purchase for their Religion class but only one is currently available with the publisher. The other book will be available this fall and students will be notified in class by their teacher to purchase the book.
