Summer Robotics Camp
with available Scholarships

This year we will be hosting two summer robotics camp taught by two former NASA engineers.  You will build a robot!!  There are eight scholarships available.  Please click here for full details and to register.

Another Scholarship for Next School Year

    It is time to select the recipient of the Natasha Pettigrew Scholarship for school year 2014-2015.  Natasha is a 1998 graduate of Seton who was a champion for social justice and a political candidate at the time of her untimely death.  Her mother has established a $1000 scholarship in her name.  Please note these eligibility criteria
1.    Student must be a rising senior.
2.    Student must be in the National Honor Society or the Scholars Club.
3.    Student must have a 3.5 GPA
4.    Student must submit a 500 word essay entitled What Social Justice Means to Sister Ellen Marie.
The essay must be submitted to Sister Ellen Marie by delivering it to the main office in an envelope.  All essays are due by June 3rd.

Re-Registration

We are now starting to build student schedules. If your daughter has not re-registered, please download the attached forms. Once these forms are completed, please submit them to Sister Dorothy with your re-registration fee. Schedules will not be built for students until their re-registration is complete.

Music Boosters

Each year the Music Boosters hosts a cook-out picnic for the teachers and our daughters in the Music program to celebrate a wonderful school-year full of music. This year's picnic will be held on Monday, June 3rd following that day's exams. You can help make this a successful event by volunteering to set up, grill, serve or clean up.  Please visit

Bus Transportation

Seton will offer bus transportation again next school year depending on the number of riders.  In order to plan for routes, costs, and drivers, we need to have information regarding the number of students who will ride.

Seton's bus route begins in Clinton, goes on to Forrestville and Largo.  Please email Mrs. Burke at lburke@setonhs.org if you plan for your daughter to ride the Seton bus next year.

SAT Prep. Class

Seton will offer an SAT Prep. class this July 22 through 26 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  The cost of this course is $350.00.  To enroll your daughter in this class, please send the payment to Mrs. Burke by June 20th.

Physical Examination

Any student wishing to try out for a 2013-2014 sports team (including cheerleading) must have a new physical, performed after June 1, on file in the clinic. Forms can be found on our website www.setonhs.org under Athletics and Admissions, or click here.

Athletics

We need you! Any parent who would like to get involved with the Athletic Booster Club, we are in need of a President, VP and Treasurer. This club is responsible for fundraising for our Athletic Department. If interested, please e-mail Coach Cage for details ccage@setonhs.org.

Seton Annual Used Book Sale

Our annual Used Book Sale will be held on Saturday July 13, 2013 from 9 am to 1 pm.  We will be accepting books to sell on Monday, 7/9 thru Friday 7/12 from 9 am to 3 pm.  All volunteer opportunities have been filled.

Summer Service and Summer Internship

SUMMER SERVICE AND SUMMER INTERNSHIP
Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Northwest Washington is looking for students to serve as summer interns in their summer enrichment program.  Students will be working with elementary and middle school children in their program which includes field trips, tech labs, fitness, and character building.  The camp runs from July 1 to August 2.  Students can volunteer for one week or multiple weeks.  If you are interested, please see the main office to get more info.
This is a great opportunity for those of you who want to work with children or go into social work or psychology, and it will look great on your college resume.  It is also a way to get a jump on your service hours.

Cheerleading Tryouts

Tryouts are open to all current students (rising sophomores, juniors and seniors) as well as all incoming freshman and transfer students.
