This is a reminder that the final deadline for students to submit service hour verification sheets is Thursday, April 11th at 3pm. The upper portion of the sheet should be completed by the students, and the lower portion should include a printed name and signature from the person who supervised the service work. Only originals will be accepted; no faxed or scanned copies, please. The completion of service hours impacts each student's Religion grade, and is a graduation requirement. Port Town Youth Council
Port Town Youth Council comes highly recommended by Seton Students.
The Port Towns Youth Council works to improve the lifestyles of the citizens of the Port Town Area including Bladensburg, Maryland. This program offers many enrichment opportunities such as internships during the summer. Participants also receive a stipend for their work and community service hours for several community activities. If you are still an ambassador by senior year, a scholarship is given to the student from the Port Towns Youth Council. This summer, the Port Towns Youth Council worked with the mayor of Bladensburg to improve community by participating in asset mapping. We presented our observations to government officials of Prince George's County. The organization leader, Reverend Gail Addison, an award winning community activist, would like to work with you to encourage and get Seton girls to join the Port Towns Youth Council to help benefit the Seton community.
