Your Home Top to Bottom: Front Door
Greetings!
This is another one of those "do as I say, not as I do" emails...  My front door is in serious need of refinishing.  Below are ways to make your front entry more welcoming, from repainting to fixing your doorbell.  Since autumn is already upon us, below is also a link to our seasonal home maintenance tips.
Happy fall!

How to Spruce Up Your Front Door
  • Sand the door with 80-grit sandpaper, then 150-grit, to remove old paint or varnish and any splinters
  • Then sand with 220-grit sandpaper to smooth it out.  Use weather-resistant deck paint in an appropriate contrast color or spar varnish.
  • Install a new ceiling light fixture or sconce
  • Add seasonal mums or sedum for color and interest
