Home Maintenance Tip                                    June 2013
Greetings!
Now that we've had our first official heatwave of the year, I've gotten several questions about air conditioning and whether it is properly cooling the home.  Here is what to do if you feel it's not cooling enough.

How to Test Your Air Conditioning
air conditioner Concerned that your air conditioner isn't cooling properly?  Hold a thermometer to the air coming out of the register, and compare it to the reading on the wall thermostat.  The air coming out of the register should be 15-20+ degrees colder.  If not, the unit may need servicing, and may need additional refrigerant added.  Have the service technician clean the outside unit as well, including the coils.
