What is Koinonia at CLHS?

The CLHS Koinonia Ministry is a combined

effort of both students and staff doing ministry as a team. As freshmen, students are assigned to a Koinonia group of around 11-12 students and one adult. This small group meets every Thursday morning for a devotion, prayer, highs & lows and snack. The students stay with the same Koinonia group throughout their high school career. Service Projects are also completed each semester with these groups. This is another way that freshmen get to know other students. Click here to learn more...

Color Guard Tryouts

We are excited about our upcoming Color Guard tryouts. All 8th grade gals are invited to try it. Our Color Guards of the past have been outstanding, and we are looking forward to maintaining that tradition. Tryouts are Monday - Thursday, April 22 - 25th from 5:30 - 7:30 in the CLHS gym. (Wednesday will be adjusted for Lenten service.) Come and enjoy God's gift of music and dance. No previous experience necessary. Parent/student meeting on Monday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the CLHS auditorium

CAN-struction

The 2014 Concordia CAN-struction team is busy with many different aspects of this annual service project. There are 50 students who have been working towards the Build Day, which is Friday, March 14. For this year's theme, Great Travel Destinations, CLHS students are designing the Pyramids of Egypt. They organized a chapel service to help everyone understand the issue of hunger and also planned their annual CAN drive through Koinonia groups to bring in the cans they use to build the structure. All cans of food and any donations received will ultimately be donated to Community Harvest Food Bank. Each year CAN-struction is the single largest donation of food to Community Harvest from one event. Last year, Fort Wayne CAN-struction donated over 68,000 pounds of food to CHFB and was the fourth largest CAN-struction event in the world.  If you have any questions or would like to help Concordia's team, email or call Stacey Salisbury at [email protected] or 260-483-1102 ext. 250.
