Greetings!

Happy Easter!

Pope Francis gives great words of wisdom.  In this Easter season, we give you...

"At dawn, they went to the tomb to anoint Jesus' body and found the first sign:  The empty tomb.  Their meeting with a messenger of God followed.  he announced:  'Jesus of Nazareth, the Crucified One, has risen, he is not here.'  The women were motivated by love and were able to accept this announcement with faith:  they believed and passed it on straight away; they did not keep to themselves but passed it on...

This should happen in our lives too.  Let us feel the joy of being Christian!  We believe in the Risen One who conquered evil and death! Let us have the courage to 'come out of ourselves' to take this joy and light to all the places of our life!"
(Pope Francis, General Audience, April 3, 2013).

We pray that in this Easter season you will find joy and take it out into the world.

Thanks for all you do!
Sr. Kathleen Ryan, Diane Zbasnik, Patrick O'Bryan, Kelly Ann Davis, Rachel Schmidt and Ann Coplan

CCHHS b/w logo Catholic Commissions Hold Fundraising Dinners
The Catholic Commissions for Lorain County, Lake & Geauga Counties, and Wayne, Ashland and Medina Counties held their fundraising dinners recently.  Awards were given to several people who are making a difference within their respective communities.  We thank everyone who supported these dinners through attending, buying ads in the programs, and our patrons.  It is through your generous support that we are able to create change in unjust structures in NE Ohio.  Each link below has pictures from the dinners and biographies for the awards winners.

CRS eases suffering and provides assistance to people in need in 93 countries, without regard to race, religion or nationality. They save lives by clothing, housing and feeding people in the worst types of natural and man-made disasters like the Typhoon that hit the Philippians six months ago and the current civil wars going on in places like South Sudan, the Central African Republic and Syria. But they also save lives in a lot of other ways.  Read More
