Donations for Holidays

As we approach the Holidays, our Social Worker, Ms. Roque, is accepting donations of Gift Cards (KMart, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Publix, etc.) for Peachtree families in need. If you would like to make a donation, please bring the Gift Card(s) to Ms. Sellers in the Main Office, and log your donation into the system for Volunteer Hours. Thank you for your generosity.
Parent Academy

Please come to our first parent Academy for all our Hispanic families. It will be November 16, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Come and learn about our school and how you can get involved. We will provide babysitting services and activities for small children and students.  Looking forward to see you at the Parent Academy
 
Por favor vengan a participar de nuestra primera Academia para padres, ofrecida a todas nuestras familias hispanas.  La reunión se llevará a cabo el 16 de noviembre de 6:00 a 7:30 pm.  Venga y obtenga información acerca de la escuela y maneras en como estar involucrados.  Ofreceremos cuidado para niños y actividades para los niños pequeños y los  alumnos. Esperamos verlos en la Academia para padres.

Volunteer Opportunities
E-Newsletter Volunteer Opportunity  

Interested in volunteering from home while you sit in your own comfy chair?  The e-newsletter committee consists of 4 individuals that rotate the responsibility of sending out the weekly newsletter on a monthly basis.  Currently we are seeking an addition to the crew.  Interested?  Contact pcmsnewsletter@gmail.com.
Book Fair Coming Soon


The Book Fair is coming and we are looking for volunteers for mornings (8-9:30) and afternoons (3:30 - 4:30) and one evening.  We could also use some help with setting up and taking down the books.  Please see the link below for details.

Butterfly Garden

The Environmental Club will continue work on the Butterfly Garden on Saturday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Planting the Fall Butterfly-friendly plants will be the activity for the day.  Led by Andrew Sonnier a Boy Scout from Dunwoody United Methodist Church, Troop 266, he is building the Butterfly Garden as his Eagle Scout Project.  The garden is a grant to PCMS by Monarchs Across Georgia and will be part of the Roslyn Carter Butterfly Trail.  Rain date will be Monday, November 23, 2015.
 
Bring your shovels, gloves and garden rakes.  If you are considering coming please notify Nancy Bustamante at 
Anne_Bustamante@dekalbschoolsga.org.  This activity can be used for volunteer hour credit. Everyone is welcome to join in. 

Student Opportunities
Dunwoody JV Tennis

There will be an informational meeting for interested 8th grade girls and boys trying out for the Dunwoody JV tennis team on Thursday, Nov. 19th at 4:15 in the media center.  Parents are welcome to attend.  We will go over the important dates, times and requirements for tryouts.
