Cyber Safety - Be Safe Online!


Children use a variety of devices to access social media sites. The internet can be accessed from laptops, smartphone, iPods, Tablets, Kindles and other book readers, game consoles such as Wii, Xbox, PS4, and many other devices.

Fall Ball (Red Ribbon Dance) This Friday

SGA is holding the fall dance this Friday, October 23 from 4-6 in the cafeteria. ALL GRADES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND! The cost is $5 and tickets will be sold Monday-Wednesday of this week. 

We are in need of parent chaperones and donations for the dance. If you would like to chaperone, please email Jessica Gazzola at Jessica_gazzola@dekalbschoolsga.org. 

We are also in need of the following donations: cans of soda, individual bags of chips, and individual candy bars. If you would like to donate any of these items, please drop them off in the font office no later thanWednesday, October 21.

Cultural Arts Performance for 8th Grade


The PTCC is happy to announce that we are once again sponsoring Cultural Arts performances for all grades. This Tuesday, October 20th, all 8th Graders will see a presentation by the Atlanta History Center of Who Was Here First, Indians in Georgia, a historical character monologue that explores the Creek and Cherokee culture and how the Cherokee syllabary spread.  The presentation encourages student participation and hands-on activities including reproduction artifacts, photographs, and period clothing.  The performances will take place in the media center during the student's Social Studies class. We are very excited to bring this program back to PCMS.
PCMS to Host DeKalb County Basketball Team Skills Special Olympics


PCMS will host the Dekalb County Basketball Team Skills Special Olympics Friday, October 30th!

The self-contained Special Education classes will provide a hospitality room for our participating volunteers and teachers. We are in need of donations and volunteers! If you would like to volunteer, please contact Ava Moore.
Please send donations of individual bags of chips, bottled water, cases of soda, individual bottles of juice, individually wrapped desserts and/or pastries to the front office. Donations are needed by Thursday, October 29th at 8am but you may start dropping them off today. Please make sure you label your donations SPECIAL OLYMPICS!!

School Store Volunteers Needed

We are looking for additional volunteers to work the PCMS School Store.   The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 8:45 am.  This is an easy, quick way to get some face time at Peachtree, interact with the students, and get in your mandatory volunteer hours.  It is also low commitment, as you can sign up to work as often or as little as you want.  And, even better, your kids are welcome to work with you!  Please contact Brenda Maxwell (bnramaxwell@hotmail.com) for more information.
