News from the Clinic

Welcome back and many thanks for all of the supplies sent in to us. Look for future Sign Up Genius's throughout the year when we have additional needs.

A few reminders:
  1. Already...there are LOTS of sore throats, stomach aches and runny noses. Please remind your student to cough into their elbows and practice good hand washing or use hand sanitizer.
  2. Runny noses are annoying but NOT a reason to go home. Students are always allowed to call home if they want, but our goal is to keep them in school. We would appreciate your help when you get that phone call! Headaches are also annoying and also not usually a reason to go home. Most headaches at this age are a result of dehydration. We encourage students to stay hydrated throughout the day.
  3. Reasons students must go home:
    • temp > 100 degrees
    • Vomiting (3 or more times)
    • Pink eye
  4. Medicine - Over the counter (OTC) or prescription: we cannot even give a cough drop unless we have your written permission. Forms available in the clinic every day 10 am - 2:30 pm. If your child needs medicine, please help us all by completing the necessary paperwork. We have stock bottles of ibuprofen (Advil) and acetaminophen (Tylenol) but still need your written permission before we can give anything. If your child needs liquid pain reliever, cough drops, antihistamines, Tums, etc - all of those must be sent in by the parent with the paperwork.
  5. Clinic hours are M-F 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. Questions can be sent to pcmsnurse@gmail.com or call the Clinic at 678.676.7707.

Save those Box Tops!

It's easy money to support PCMS.  Here's how:
  • Clip Box Tops from every day products you buy.
  • Put them in a sandwich bag.
  • Write your name on the baggie along with grade and homeroom teacher's name.
  • 20 Box tops = 1 entry The more you turn in, the better chance you have!
  • Place your labeled bag in the Box Tops containers located in the cafeteria and at the security desk AT ANY TIME DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.
  • Drawings for teacher and student prizes will be held in the Fall and Spring, but please turn in Box Tops ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR.
