On behalf of the Foundation, Parent Teacher Charter Council, teachers and students of Peachtree Charter Middle School, we are pleased to report that the Can You Imagine? Annual Fund has received over $38,000 in family donations with 35% of families participating since the start of school.

Here is a recap of all that has been accomplished through the Annual Fund so far this school year:

• Provided funds to support the PTCC operational budget. ($29,000)
• Successful teacher training and school-wide implementation of iStation, a web based reading program to increase reading comprehension. ($8,000)
• Purchased Common Core Coach books for all Math teachers to improve students' critical thinking skills as it relates to common core math skills and prepare our students for future changes to standardized tests. ($8,500)
• Approved teacher grant request for Art supplies to be used in the classroom. ($3,200)
• Approved teacher grant request for purchase of atlases to be used by 6th and 7th grade Social Studies classes. ($2,100)
• Approved teacher grant request for purchase of classroom workbooks to support Social Studies and Language Arts curriculum across all grade levels and teams. ($4,600)

Thank you to those families who have already made a donation to this year's campaign.  But, we still need help in achieving a goal of 100% participation and $60,000.

Every gift counts! A suggested $125.00 donation per family (100% tax-deductible) helps pay for many important PCMS programs, such as teacher and staff appreciation, Patriot Games, cultural arts, school beautification and the Learning Garden.

As fundraising levels allow, we will continue to support academic excellence through the following initiatives:

• Staff development to achieve goal of 100% Gifted and 50% ESOL endorsed teachers
• Sponsor Academic Teams including learning materials, travel and competition expenses
• Provide salary support for School Nurse
• Enhanced technology to support web-based curriculum in reading and math
• Purchase of supplemental class books and classroom supplies as requested by teachers
• Advance our long term goal of providing a  laptop/tablet to each PCMS student

2. Check or cash by mail or drop off in the school's front office. Checks made payable to PCMS Foundation. (If paying by check or cash, please note "PCMS Annual Fund" on the outside of your payment envelope so that your donation may be recorded accurately.)
