New state regulations target aquatic invasive species
| Boaters using DEC lands to launch boats or other watercraft are now required to clean and drain boats prior to launch in the state of New York. Learn more about what NY is doing to prevent invasive species from entering and damaging NY water bodies, here. |

| Authorized by the River and Harbor Act of 1958, the Aquatic Plant Control Program for Lake Champlain provides for the control and eradication of aquatic plants in navigable waters, tributary streams, connecting channels, and other allied waters in the interest of navigation, flood risk management, drainage, agriculture, fish and wildlife conservation, public health, and related purposes. | The 33rd LCI Father's Day Derby presented by Yamaha is now anchored in the record books, and the numbers say it all. 1,892 fish weighed in, 1,672 of which were released alive. FDA and EPA issue updated draft advice for fish consumption

The US Food and Drug Administration and the US Environmental Protection Agency recently issued updated draft advice on fish consumption.
