Brian T. Fitzgerald, M.S. developed his appreciation of Vermont's natural resources while growing up in Pittsford, VT where his home range spanned two watersheds: the Castleton River and Otter Creek. Sally Flis, Ph.D. recently joined LCI's Advisory Council, providing LCI staff with her expertise in the agricultural field. Dr. Flis earned her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Ph.D. in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Vermont.  Her extensive background in agriculture and farm nutrient management plans is a great asset to LCI as we continue to protect our waters and fisheries from pollution runoff. Seminar: Ecological Puzzles and a Passion for Lakes
March 10, 2014; 4-5pm

This free event, sponsored by the UVM Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Lab, hosts Dr. Kathleen Weathers from the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies. The topic will be "How Cyanobacteria, Sensors, and Cyberinfrastructure Helped Launch Scientists and Citizens into a 21st Century Experiment."
