Four Remarkable Donors
Esther Honey values every donor and every contribution helps to provide the Foundation's veterinary and education services. In 2012, we began an annual tradition to honor four of our remarkable donors with seashell plaques inscribed with their names:
* Mary Smith and Bob Riley - for the gift that keeps on giving: Solar Panels and Installation
* The Bond Store and the Richard Barton Family - for the gift that saves lives and limbs: X-ray Machine and Stand
* Tata & Liz Crocombe - for their early and enduring relationship and support
* The Roadhouse - for their ongoing financial support that helps keep the clinic doors open and animal tummies full

These donors' generosity and support have contributed significantly to the creation and continuation of veterinary and humane education services benefiting the Cook Islands' community and their animals. Together, the difference the Esther Honey Foundation and its supporters make can be permanent.

Thanks to your support, the Esther Honey Foundation is fulfilling our essential mission to
  • deliver skilled, compassionate, affordable veterinary services
  • conduct a scientifically-proven, non-lethal animal population management program
  • provide community animal health care and humane education programs

Please donate today to help us keep these services available.

We want to share some highlights of how the Esther Honey Foundation is uniquely making a difference in the lives of so many:

  • Treated over 34,900 animals
  • Reduced the canine population through spay/neuter and education from 6000 to 1,666
  • Sterilized more than 70% of the remaining 1,666 Rarotonga dogs. (Sterilized more than 13,300 animals to date)
  • Conducted 110 EHF VET TREKSŪ to remote outer islands and villages; treating over 3,700 animals who would otherwise lack veterinary care.
  • Recruited over 300 veterinarian volunteers and hundreds of veterinary professionals from around the globe; including the Americas, Australasia, Europe and Africa.
  • Provided all companion animals, whether homeless or with guardians, comparable care and no healthy animals have been euthanized.

Your donation will help to guarantee the future for our programs by supporting our clinic teams in Rarotonga, enabling us to continue to provide veterinary care, shelter and rehoming for Rarotonga's homeless and continue our education programs for Cook Islands children and adults.

  • Just $100 provides sufficient baby animal milk product to raise 10 kittens.
  • $250 provides morphine, fluids and other essential products to treat one case of severe fish poisoning,
  • $500 provides food for our in-patients and homeless for one week, and
  • $1000 provides food, worming, flea product, shelter, care and love for 8 puppies and their mum until they are ready to be rehomed.

Thank you for supporting the Esther Honey Foundation in the past. And thank you in advance for your contribution to help the continuation of our important mission.

We can't do it without you.
