Feds ease Cuba trade rules
The Commerce and Treasury Departments recently issued regulations to remove certain restrictions on trade and travel with Cuba, although the overall trade embargo with the island nation remains in place. U.S. banks will now be allowed to provide direct financing for authorized exports to Cuba, such as agricultural machinery, but not for agricultural commodities.

Agricultural commodities are not covered by these regulations because the method of financing agricultural sales to Cuba, through third party banks or by cash in advance, is included in statute and can only be changed by congressional action.
Food Safety top concern
With food recalls on the rise and the threat to food security growing, food manufacturers are going to want to know more details about farmers' and ranchers' food safety and security practices. Despite manufacturers' rigorous food safety protocols, they're being outwitted by ever-evolving microbes.

The poem, of course, was "The Raven," written by former Richmonder Edgar Allen Poe. The poem, with its refrain of "Nevermore," went on to become an American classic.
