Turkey Mission Dinner

Help is Still Needed

We are excited to announce this year's Turkey Mission Dinner will be on Saturday, November 8 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. As in the past, this year's Turkey Mission Dinner proceeds will be split between a global mission and two local missions. This year's local mission will benefit Teen Challenge of the Midlands in Colfax, Iowa and Altoona Back Pack Program. Our international mission project will support 133 families in five small communities in northern Bolivia through Heifer International. Together, we can make a difference!

Sign-up this Sunday in the narthex to help! You may pick up your tickets Sunday in the narthex. Please join us in praying that this year's meal will once again be a blessing that will change lives.

  •  Help set up, carve a turkey, work in the kitchen serving or washing dishes or clean up the dining room/kitchen.
  • There will also be a bake sale during the Turkey Mission Dinner. Proceeds will go to our local Caring Hands Food Pantry. We need baked goods donated for this sale. Make your favorite cookies, cake, candy, bread, etc. to sell. Please package and pre-price your items and bring them to the narthex by 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 8. Do you make jewelry, paint, sew, crochet, or knit? Could you make a themed gift basket? Make something to donate to the Silent Auction with all proceeds going to our local food pantry. Our goal is to raise $1,000 to help feed the hungry. For more information, please contact Jane Burns at 967-2991.
