Cyprus schools provide general courses ranging from Basic English to Advanced level, focusing on all four skills; speaking, reading, writing and listening that help the student develop effective communication and fluency in the language.
Another option is the Intensive English course that prepares the student for the IELTS exam for the purposes of higher education, immigration and employment, or a Business English course which is aimed at professionals who make use of English in their work and who want to increase their fluency and confidence in speaking for social and day to day business activities.
Alongside the above, one can choose from a variety of courses which were designed for professionals in specific careers who want to increase their knowledge of terminology in their fields. Some examples include English for sports, actors, photographers, agrotourism, or the hotel industry.

Piyale Pasha is the 2 kilometre road that begins from the Medieval Castle at the end of the promenade in Larnaka city and stretches towards the beach area of McKenzie.
The road is particularly popular for its fresh fish, traditional Cypriot tavernas and ice-cream parlours, and also boasts a Blue Flag beach and a charming little fishing harbour.
The project is one of the many development projects aimed at changing the face of Larnaka over the next five years and will modernise Piyale Pasha making it a more attractive and functional strip for locals and visitors alike. |

Most travelers first see Cyprus at Larnaka, the country's second largest port and home of the main international airport.
Here is a list of major places of attraction in Larnaka:

2) Religious and historical sites:
- Lazarus church (Saint Lazarus).
- Hala Sultan Tekke
3) History lovers:

4) Combination of nature and culture: Lefkara village (Lefkara's local lace is on the UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity).
5) Nature: Salt Lake, home for Flamingo birds.
6) Swimming at Makenzy Beach: One of the most popular beaches in Cyprus attracting both families and young couples. It's the beach of choice for locals with trendy restaurants and bars. Vast stretches of white sand at the airport end with many cafes and bars.
7) Diving at the wreck of the Zenobia, just off Larnaka coast.
8) Other activities:
Mazotos Camel Park: A good day out for children, there are various other animals as well as camels, donkeys, horses etc and a nice picnic area.

Cyprus, the island of dreams | |
Rita Younes
Middle Side Travel
Beirut, Lebanon
I have visited the island several times. For me, it is an island that combines between the beauty of nightlife and the rush of the daytime.
I visited Larnaca, Nicosia, Limassol, Ayia Napa and Protaras and am still planning to discover more of Cyprus, but my favorite thus far is Protaras.
Protaras is a beautiful calm town with a lovely beach. You can find some of the best hotels in the center of the town.
Ayia Napa is the busiest area in Cyprus and never sleeps during the summer. Once you are there, you cannot but visit the water park and spend a whole day enjoying this attraction.
Limassol is more active in winter compared to Larnaca. People are always walking on the beach and restaurants are always full. Larnaca is calm in the winter, but it gets active in the summer when people flock its restaurants, pubs and souvenir shops.
As for the capital Nicosia, it is suitable for a day trip where you can see some good opportunities for shopping and a nice neighborhood full of traditional restaurants.
