At 69 years of age, Barete Santourdjian had never been in hospital for surgery before in his life. Hundreds of Toronto-area residents filled the fields of L'Amoreaux Park in Scarborough on June 22 and 23 as the Scarborough World Cup of Cricket made its debut with a grand slam - or as they say in cricket, a five-wicket haul.

"It also demonstrates that great things can be accomplished when the community comes together."
