When twin boys MacIvan and KingIvan Rogers were born this past summer at The Scarborough Hospital's Birchmount campus, they kicked off a succession of twin births that week while also creating a life-changing experience for their proud father.
"It was very transformative, but definitely in a good way," explained MacIvan Rogers Sr., a pastor who was filled with both awe and joy as he snuggled his twin boys. "The team was great, very professional and very supportive before, during and after the birth. I would recommend to anyone that they deliver at TSH."

When Benilda Ariz was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, her focus at the time was on surviving. But two years later, her focus switched to returning to her 'old self' again.
That meant undergoing breast reconstruction surgery. As a Registered Nurse at The Scarborough Hospital, Benilda knew her options. But for many women, simply surviving is the end of their breast cancer treatment."Less than 20 per cent of women who have undergone mastectomies as part of their breast cancer treatment elect to have breast reconstruction surgery," says Dr. Sarah Wong, a Plastic and Reconstruction Surgeon at TSH.

The Scarborough Hospital Foundation is hosting its first ever Scarborough World Gala Lifetime Achievement Award on November 10 in support of Chronic Kidney Disease.
This year's inaugural event will honour Dr. Neville G. Poy B.Sc., M.D., C.M., M.Sc. (surgery), FRCS (C), FACS, whose contributions to The Scarborough Hospital, the medical field and the community have been truly outstanding.
