Here at Ryan Painting Services, the majority of our painting assignments over the past 23 years have been done on traditional Craftsman style homes. But in a clear sign of the evolving and diverse area in which we live, we have also been increasingly performing jobs on other types of residences, lofts being among them. And these are in geographical locations that are fun and creatively stimulating.
Although we are South Pasadena-based, and the majority of our paint services are still done in the San Gabriel Valley area, we are beginning to get more assignments right in downtown Los Angeles Arts District. For many years in the great history of the City of Angels the downtown area was seen as upscale and trendy. However, little by little this started to drastically change following an influx of unsavory elements and vagrants, causing many to leave the area with no thought of ever returning.
But lo and behold, there is now a renaissance of sorts happening and in a major way in the downtown L.A. area. There are certain streets and areas where it is occurring more than others. But one thing is for sure; this pleasing phenomenon seems like it's here to stay. It has been a lot of fun for Darby and I to scout around and explore the Arts District - just east of 4th & Alameda. The Goldline lets us off at "Little Tokyo", and its just a two block walk to The Arts District.
It should be quite interesting to see how it all plays out as these places become the fun and culturally engaging magnets they should have been all along. And in these tough economic times, it is also providing a financial boost to the city of Los Angeles.
We here at Ryan Painting Services are just excited as the next person to watch all of this unfold, literally on our doorstep. We hope that you have a chance to check out this great rebirthing of old Los Angeles coming back to life.
Whether it be a California Bungalow, a Spanish style charmer, Ranch Revival or a Downtown Loft, Ryan Painting Services is here to help you spec colors and provide a spectacular look for your home.
