Next Steps 5K
May 3
St. Paul, MN
As a part of Listening House of St. Paul's (a day/evening shelter and community referral center) efforts to reach homeless persons in new and meaningful ways, The Next Steps running/walking club started over two years ago by the Program Director at Listening House, Julie Borgerding, a few homeless folks and a few volunteers to provide a healthy way out of homelessness.
Over these past two years we have had a number of homeless folks participate in our semi-weekly runs (Monday and Friday mornings at 7:00 am, starting from Listening House- behind the Assumption Church in town) and have moved on to full time employment or were re-integrated back into their families.
So, by participating in this event, you are helping to support this healthy way of making a difference in the lives of homeless folks. We welcome you to run/walk with the Next Steps Club weekly to help to make a longer term impact in the lives of those less fortunate.
Join us at Upper Landings Park on Shepard Road in St. Paul, May 3. For more information, visit us online and to register click here.
