IRIS Turkey Trot

Thursday, November 24
Faribault, MN
The annual IRIS Turkey Trot is a fundraising event that benefits Infants Remembered in Silence (IRIS) - a non-profit 501c(3) dedicated to offering support, education and resources to parents, families, friends and professionals on the death of a child.
Sadly, many, many people either experience the loss of a child, or know someone who has lost a child. This event provides an opportunity to raise awareness of IRIS and the invaluable services that IRIS provides, raise money to ensure that IRIS will be around to continue to help families after a loss, and to remember our babies.
Rain, snow, or shine - people come together on Thanksgiving morning to:
TROT TOGETHER to ensure that the important services IRIS provides are continued TROT TOGETHER to raise awareness TROT TOGETHER to support one another TROT TOGETHER to remember our precious babies TROT TOGETHER to give thanks for the imprint such tiny lives have on our hearts TROT TOGETHER as friends TROT TOGETHER for hope
Please join us for the 5k walk, 5k run, 10k run, Kid's Tot Trot, and the Gobble Wobble - Thursday, Nov. 22nd. For more information, visit us online here.

Fast Before the Feast
| |
Thursday, November 22
White Bear Lake, MN
Most of us are extremely fortunate. On Thanksgiving Day, we get to sit down to a nice meal, surrounded by friends and family.
With the economic hardships over the past five years, many in our community aren't so blessed. Local food shelves try to be there, but they need our help.
Show your compassion with the Fast Before The Feast 10K or 5K on Thanksgiving morning. In 2011, your participation and non-perishable food donations allowed us to give over 10,000 pounds to local food shelves, and we're hoping to reach 12,000 pounds in 2012.
Again this year, the first 1,000 participants get a free drink coupon from our friends at Caribou Coffee. This event will be chip-timed by Final Time, Inc. More information is online here.
