Spring's Transition Has Begun

Spring is always a transitional time of year. Some days are winter, some days are summer and...some days are...spring. We all want to get into the garden as soon as possible but not so soon that we lose what we've planted should we get an occasional cold snap. What to do?
We thought you might appreciate knowing that Wedel's has what you need to get your garden started when you should and still be protected from unexpected changes in the weather. For example, one of the items we have for you is called Season Starter, Early Season Plant Protector. It is a multi-chambered device that protects plants when overnight temperatures drop below freezing (down to 24 degrees)! It is ideal for tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, melons and other vining plants.
For larger areas consider using Plant & Seed Guard Plant Protection Blanket which is lightweight and creates an excellent micro-environment for newly seeded grass and plantings. It protects from frost by raising temperatures beneath the fabric by 4 degrees. The sheet size is 12' x 10' so it wouldn't take many sheets to cover a good sized garden.
Of course, burlap is an old staple and one we always have in stock. 3' x 12' and 3' x 24 rolls are available. Use burlap to cover seeded ground to help with moisture retention too.
Rose cones are popular but sometimes too large for use in the spring on sprouting plants. Give Jiffy Hot-Kaps a try. They allow you to plant early, harvest early and increase your harvest by up to 30%!
Get out into the garden a little earlier this year with these plant protectors. We wish you a happy spring and happy gardening!
