NILE Sells Tickets for the 2016 Equis Raffle Filly
Billings, MT-- For the 12th year in a row the NILE is going to raffle off a real, live, horse! Just like the lottery it only takes one ticket to win. Which means someone could win a horse for five dollars-the cost of one ticket. Of course, more tickets increase the odds of winning, people can purchase six tickets for twenty-five dollars.

The 2016 Raffle Filly is donated by Borderview Ranch, LaVonne Westland and Allen Munger. Both long-time supporters of NILE-entering horses in the sales, futurities, and ranching heritage challenges every year. The bay filly was born in the pasture outside of Brockway, Montana. Raised on the range she's sure-footed and knows how to handle herself in open country. She's bred to go any direction ranch work, to arena competitions-she's suited for any of it.

As a two-year-old she is still learning but in her summer school, Travis Young from Big Sky Performance Horses has her started just right for anyone that wins her. It almost sounds too good to be true: win a horse for $5, she's well bred, broke to ride.

But wait, it gets better! She also comes with a year's worth of feed! Equis Feed from CHS Nutrition sponsors the raffle filly. No excuses not to buy a ticket!

In fact, if you can't take a horse because you live in a high rise apartment or for whatever reason, there's a solution. On each raffle ticket there is two check boxes. One says keep filly, one says sell filly. The drawing is during the NILE Gold Buckle Select Performance Horse Sale Saturday, October 22. If the ticket is marked sell filly she's right then and there during the sale and the winner of the tickets gets to keep the proceeds from selling her.

It only takes one ticket to win one of the best raffles in the region!
