Combing AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge and NRCHA Cow Horse Bash October 19
Billings, MT--To improve both shows for spectators, exhibitors, and show management the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge and the NRCHA Cow Horse Bash will be one day, in one arena. The classes will be separate and all scoring, payouts etc. will be separate.

This new change allows for people to enter both shows without having to scramble to get back and forth. It also allows more time in between classes for exhibitors to warm up and cool down horses, switch horses, and provide for a better experience.

Moving the NRCHA Cow Horse Bash to the RimRock Auto arena from the SuperBarn provides for more space for spectators and an elevated show experience for the exhibitors.

The Ranching Heritage Challenge highlights the versatility, soundness and willing attitude of American Quarter Horses that are ranch born and raised. First, the goal of the Ranching Heritage Breeders program is to recognize AQHA's ranching members who have steadfastly continued to maintain the ranching tradition by raising American Quarter Horses for use in working cattle.  Second, through a series of ranch horse competitions, the Ranching Heritage Challenge is intended to increase demand for ranch horses by providing an opportunity for ranches and horse owners to compete in a unique ranch horse competition for a significant purse.

Entries for the Ranching Heritage Challenge at the NILE are due Monday, October 3, late entries are accepted. Entries can be filled out online here http://nile.fairwire.com, or submit the entry form to mccall@thenile.org or PO Box 1981, Billings, MT 59103.  For a full list of the AQHA Ranching Heritage Breeders go to the AQHA website.
