2016 NILE Voice of the Stock Show
Billings, MT--Some memories have a distinct smell, or a distinct sight, the NILE brings all the senses together, including sound with The Voice of the Stock Show--Doug Van Dyken.

2015 Doug debuted as the Voice of Stock Show at the NILE and he expresses that he is very much looking forward to returning to the Magic City for this year's shows.

"In a World that has seemingly lost its bearings and strayed completely off course, the western industry remains true to itself, which is why I count it such an honor to be a part of the NILE."

Beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday, October 16 and running until the evening hours of the Saturday, October 22. Fourteen different cattle breeds have shows over the span of the week that Doug announces. The breeds represented are: Angus, AOB, Charolais, Galloway, Gelbvieh and Balancer, Hereford, Lowline, Miniature Hereford, Red Angus, Shorthorn, Simmental, South Devon, and Texas Longhorn.

The fingers of the livestock and western industries reach  much farther than a  person might initially recognize.  As you attend the NILE this year take time to notice people. Think of what they do, where they came from and what they bring to the Ag community, most of all, notice the young people.

"I am convinced that there is no better place for young people to transfer into adulthood than in the agriculture and western industries," Doug comments on his inclusion in the NILE, "These are just a couple of the reasons that I count it such an honor to be selected as the Voice of the Stock Show."
