Enter the 2016 NILE Horse Futurities Today!

Billings, MT-- Futurity by definition is a future time or event. Entering a futurity is like gambling on how well you and your horse will do at the show. The closer the date gets to the show the higher the entry fee because your horse has had a chance to prove themselves.

Bet on yourself and enter the 2016 NILE Horse Futurity today! If you bought a horse from the NILE Gold Buckle Select Horse Sale in 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012 and/or 2011, that horse is eligible for the 2016 Futurities. Enter before entry fees increase July 2.

Horses are also eligible if sired by a nominated stallion. This year's nominated stallions are:
Smoken Darling owned by Katie Breckenridge of Picabo, ID
The Masqued Male owned by Mel & Brenda Flottmeyer of Piedmont, SD
DMAC Fireplug owned by Fink Quarter Horses of Hysham, MT
There's also still time to nominate a stallion. Nominated stallions receive 25% of their foals' winnings (only in 3, 4, and 5 year old futurities), listing on the NILE website, and a quarter page ad in the NILE Premier Magazine, which includes the Horse Sale Catalog.

The NILE Gold Buckle Select Futurities will be Thursday, October 20 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the RimRock Auto Arena. Renowned horseman, Sam Rose from Pilot Point, Texas will judge the futurities this year.

There is also a barrel futurity held Tuesday, October 18 at 4 p.m. before the Running the Rims Barrel Race. If exhibitors wish to enter both they will run once during the futurity and their time will carry over for the Running the Rims barrel race.
