Ranch Rodeo in Custer this Weekend!
Billings, MT-- Come out to Custer Saturday, June 25 for the 10th annual Custer Ranch Rodeo kicking off at 4 p.m.

Out on the range, just two miles North of the town of Custer the arena sits. Cowboys and cowgirls gather to do what they do best--compete in events derived from working ranches.  You don't want to miss this authentic event!

A dozen teams compete in five events for the lowest score--lowest score wins. The events that they'll battle for are wild cow milking, team penning, team branding, team doctoring, and pony express race.

The little buckaroos will also have a shot at prizes and bragging rights. Kids may enter a calf race, stick horse bronc ride, and boot race for free.

Immediately following the ranch rodeo is the Stockman Bank Open Ranch Bronc Riding. Broncs versus bronc riders--a classic display of cowboy courage. Shane Vaira of Richey is bringing his good bucking horses and seven cowboys (and one cowgirl!) are signed up to ride.

$5 at the gate for spectators, kids watch for free. Spectators will enjoy a new and improved sound system this year thanks to the generosity of the S Ranch.  Concessions provided by the Custer FFA.  There will be a silent calcutta auction of the teams.

The winning team from the Custer Ranch Rodeo will compete at the NILE Ranch Rodeo Finals Saturday, October 15 at 7 p.m. in Billings, Montana.

The NILE is proud to have the Custer Ranch Rodeo as one of sanctioning partners because they share the vision of preserving and embracing the Western tradition.
