2016 Stetsons and Stilettos a Success
Billings, MT--With the generous support of attendees, sponsors, and donors the NILE Foundation raised over $50,000 at Stetsons and Stilettos over the past weekend.

Over 300 guests came out to the Northern Hotel Saturday night for the fundraiser. They enjoyed a steak dinner, silent and live auctions, speeches from scholarship recipients, and dancing to the Bucky Beaver Ground Grippers.

Over 40 silent auction items brought out the competitive nature, increasing bid back and forth in a battle for the packages. Highlights included custom made NILE spurs from Montana Silversmiths with handmade leather spur straps.

Eight great live auction items went to bid, PBR Finals tickets in Las Vegas, a tub full of liquor for the perfect party, 'Daddy's Girl' bronze by Mary Michael, a scholarship donation drive, A Year of Dates--12 months worth of gift cards, tickets and things to do, Flint Rasmussen's signed jersey and cleats, and two pieces of art from Sunrise Art Studio--one created by Lance Johnson and the other by Dawn Ness.

One of a big highlights was the speeches from the scholarship recipients. Pairs of recent high school graduates and current college students spoke intermittently through the night. Ten scholarship recipients spoke briefly about their involvement in agriculture, and what the scholarship means to them.

Special thanks to emcee Russell Nemetz and auctioneer Joe Goggins and his team.

The NILE Foundation's mission is to promote livestock, educate about agriculture and embrace the western way of life. Stetsons and Stilettos focuses on the scholarship aspect of the NILE foundation. Donations from this event added scholarship fund, ensuring that the future generations will get the support they need to pursue higher education.

Stetsons and Stilettos is hosted by the NILE Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit that raises money for NILE Youth Programs, specifically focusing on high education scholarships.
It wouldn't be possible without the help from the businesses and individuals that donated! Please help us say thank you by supporting these businesses:
