Creighton Post and Pipe - Committed to Quality in Livestock Handling
Billings, MT--Linn Post and Pipe Supply Company began in 1973 in Linn, Kansas when Emil Peters developed a continuous connection for fence that he thought was better than anything else available at the time. He did not stop with his patented continuous fencing, but began building other livestock handling equipment with those same principles and values in mind.  In 1979 things were going so well he wanted to open a second facility.  The Linn Post and Pipe-Creighton Division, as it was then known, was established in Creighton, Nebraska.
 
Richard Stubben was hired as the manager of the new plant. He was placed in charge of selecting and purchasing the land, ordering a building, construction and management of the facility when production began.  The business opened with a single building and three employees. It has since grown to twenty-one employees with five additional buildings, including a new office space.
 
Besides continuous fence panels which can be custom made to any length and height, the Nebraska plant manufactures gates, custom adjustable alleyways in single and double sizes, crowding tubs and portable catch panels.  The heavy duty gates up to 16' are guaranteed for five years to hold up against wear and tear from livestock. Custom sizes are also available. The facility sells portable corrals, bale feeders, panel trailers, and portable cattle wagon feeders as well.
 
Most orders are either picked up at the Creighton Post and Pipe facility by customers or delivered by the company's semi-truck.  However, Richard Stubben, who continues to manage the Creighton location and makes customer service a top priority, often travels to multiple states with the company truck and trailer personally making deliveries.  
 
Stubben enjoys attending farm shows throughout the plains states and has attended the MATE for nearly four decades. "I enjoy coming to the MATE show to visit with my old customers and to meet a lot of new ones," he said. This February will be the 40th year of the MATE, the largest Agriculture Trade Show in the region.  Since 1976 the MATE has been held the third week of February. As a part of the MATE, the Home & Health Expo offers displays of products and services specifically related to health and the home. The three day event has had an attendance of over 14,000 people. Over 550 booths display trusted equipment and the latest technology for farming and ranching.  The NILE (Northern International Livestock Exposition) purchased the MATE in 2008.
