NILE Tradition Opens Every Building, Every Day with the National Anthem.
Billings, MT--The NILE continues the tradition of opening each building with the National Anthem this October for the stock show and rodeo.

As a way of signifying the start of the day and beginning of the day's activities the Star Spangled Banner is played across loud speakers in the buildings at MetraPark.

This tradition happens at all NILE events; the Montana Agri-Trade Exposition (MATE) Show in February, the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) in April, and Stetsons and Stilettos in May.

The National Anthem is usually sung by aspiring singers that are involved in the agriculture industry. Singers have been family to the NILE staff, NILE youth members, NILE Jr. Fed participants and NILE contest winners.

By opening the buildings with the National Anthem it's a way for the NILE to show patriotism and celebrate the country that embraces the western lifestyle.
