Geldings 4-year-olds & older averaged $5,816
Geldings 2-and-3-year-olds averaged $2,550

An impressive set of performance horses were offered at the 2013 NILE Gold Buckle Select Horse Sale with a selection of barrel horses, finished rope horses, solid ranch horses, and kids' horses.

 

The top-selling horse was a striking 5-year-old bay gelding consigned by Dale and Karla Camp of Twin Bridges, MT. An extremely broke horse, this gentle gelding had extensive ranch use with one year of cutting training. Sired by RPM Mr Stylish and Dynamite Lena Doll, a daughter of Doc O Dynamite, this gelding garnered lots of interest from buyers. He brought $18,000 and was purchased by Clint Long of Wolf Point, MT.

 

The second high-selling horse was lot 936 consigned by Jay and Edyna Shaw of Miles City, MT. This blue roan gelding has done it all - PRCA pickup horse, all-around ranch horse, team roping head horse, youth horse, show horse to barrels and even 'babysits' the inexperienced or young rider. The buyer for this versatile horse was Ron Pierce of Billings, MT.

 

Lot 939 was a sharp looking 12-year-old sorrel gelding consigned by Greg Bervy of Twin Bridges, MT. A trained cutter with lots of ranch work and suitable for any rider, this horse brought $7,750 and was purchased by the Griffin Angus Ranch of Belfry, MT.

A talented sorrel gelding specializing in barrels and suitable for kids was consigned by Carol Lee and exhibited by Brenda Seely of Riverton, WY. Bringing $7,500, this horse went to Rebish and Konen Livestock of Dillon, MT.

 

Rod and Corrine Schaffer consigned an 8-year-old finished head horse that sold for $7,250. This bay roan gelding had lots of eye appeal and ranch use. Brandy Davis of Deer Lodge, MT purchased this finished horse.

 

A strong segment of talented youth horses attracted lots of attention from buyers. Lots 938 and 940 each sold for $7,250. A bay gelding, lot 938 was consigned by Joseph Carl of Ballantine, MT and purchased by William Bell of Chinook, MT. E Bar Quarter Horses of Grass Range, MT brought lot 940 to the sale and this sorrel gelding had experience- trail rides, 4-H shows, and ranch work. This sorrel gelding was purchased by Daina Green of Hardin, MT.

 

This year's top consignor was Dale and Karla Camp with two geldings that averaged $12,500.

 

With one of the best offerings in recent years of solid, good using horses with variety of talents, this sale gathered lots of attention and bids.
