Select online classes from University of Melbourne (via Coursera platform- click for info), University of New South Wales (via OpenLearning- course description here), and University of Western Australia (Class2Go- read more) will soon be available to anyone, anywhere, for free. University of Queensland is developing several massively open online courses as well.

Vaccines without needles
UQ invention could transform delivery of medicine

The Nanopatch-a patch smaller than a postage stamp that delivers vaccines painlessly and more efficiently than traditional methods-could make needles and syringes obsolete. Pharmaceutical company Merck will spearhead efforts to commercially produce the Nanopatch. Read more about this transformative technology here.
