Open Media Project for Government Off to a Great Start in 2016
Pitkin County and City of Littleton have dropped their commercial providers and launched the Open Media Project (OMP) at a considerable cost savings to taxpayers. The OMP team moved years of archives, agendas and timestamps off of proprietary servers onto Open Media's platform.

Meanwhile, we are pleased to announce our new partnership with the team at SIPA, Colorado's Statewide Internet Portal Authority. SIPA was created by the Colorado State Legislature to develop Colorado's statewide internet portal and assist state agencies, local governments, special districts and public education by putting more information and services online.

We will present our OMP for Gov solution to government leaders from around Colorado at the upcoming SIPA User Conference, March 29th in Denver. Meanwhile, sign up to learn more about how we help expand transparency during our upcoming webinar - Livestream Meetings and Index Video Archives - on February 24th at 2pm.
Intern Profile  - Jesse Lockwood
TV Station (Public Access) intern Jesse Lockwood says he has always been an artist. As a youth, he played "guitar" with his mom's tennis rackets and "decorated" the walls with crayons. "OMF and DOM popped up on my radar in the way of an invitation to play some music in Studio A," recounts Jesse. "Once I found out about what was going on here, I knew that I wanted to participate."

He has definitely participated! In addition to his internship duties, Jesse has produced or collaborated on Denver Emerging Artists (a local music showcase show), Transition Theater (a mind-blowing music, dance, light show extravaganza), Denver Kirtan (a spiritual practice of chanting the famous Hare Krishna mantra) and much more. Jesse celebrated his birthday by taping the inaugural episode of The Everything Show with Jestrelokkei.

"In a world where all news and media is bought and paid for in the worst way, free speech only exists on non-commercial channels," says Jesse.
