OMF Video Clients - City O' City and The Inventing Room
|
OMF's Video Production Department recently completed videos for City O' City and The Inventing Room, generous sponsors of our December fundraising dinner.
City O' City, started by longtime OMF supporter Dan Landes, consistently wins Best Vegetarian restaurant in Denver.
Like something Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, The Inventing Room brings entertainment to the dining experience while making seemingly impossible treats using liquid nitrogen, compression and other unorthodox techniques.

Advanced Field Production Class
|
In its inaugural offering, students of the Advanced Field Production class created Foundation for Change profile videos on select members, staff and interns.
The next Advanced Field Production class starts on Thursday, January 21. Be sure to register through this link!

OMF Donor Profile - Szos St. Germain
|
Consultant Szos (rhymes with "boss") St. Germain serves as a volunteer on the Open Media Foundation Culture Brigade, sharing his expertise in office communications to help maximize OMF's creative environment and efficiency.
With over 20 years of experience, Szos aims to take the art of living into the workplace. "We can't be productive without feeling connected to a deeper sense of living," explains Szos.
His training emphasizes direct communication to create a self-sustaining culture of efficiency that allows an organization's members to connect to its inherent creative energy.
Szos feels a unique kinship with OMF. "When we use our voice in the world, that is what facilitates change happening," says Szos.
OMF wishes to thank Szos for sharing his knowledge and expertise with the Culture Brigade. For more information about Szos and his consulting services, please click here.

DOM Producer Profile - Brian "Scoop" Nemeth
|
Congratulations to Brian "Scoop" Nemeth, winner of the 2015 Most Prolific DOM Producer award.
"Most prolific producer is only the tip of the iceberg. The highest-rated show is the next honor to have," says Scoop.
Scoop produces NewsView Broncos Country, which combines hard news with Broncos talk "so fans can also think about other stuff besides football." Keep an eye out for Scoop in the parking lots of Sports Authority Field at Mile High, where Scoop gets access to the hottest tailgating and interviews diehard Broncos fans.
Scoop was recently profiled on Wish You Were Here produced by KRCC, Southern Colorado's NPR station. Click here to listen to the episode.

4K is here and free for members! Record in HD or UHD on the new JVC GY-HM200 camcorders. No more DV tape; no more figuring out how to link the record kits to the Z5Us. These JVCs have two SDHC/SDXC slots built in to the camera body. You can also use wifi to send a live video stream to Ustream or YouTube. These camcorders are very lightweight, just over 3 lbs with a battery. And the best part, these cameras are free for members (Equipment Access or higher) for a 24-hour period!
More free equipment upgrades for DOM members include our new large tripods with carbon fiber legs. Don't let their shorter folded-down height fool you. These legs are lighter weight and extend farther than the older ones, up to 80" in height. DOM also acquired a tripod dolly and a 12' track for smooth, professional dolly shots.
We are still receiving equipment and inventorying it as fast as we can, so please check the reservations page at https://www.denveropenmedia.org/equipment for the newest additions!
