Education Partnership with DIFRC
The Open Media Foundation and the Denver Indian Family Resource partnered in the fall and winter to complete a series of workshops for 12 American Indian teens. The teens produced their own series of public service announcements and video coverage of one of their events. These workshops were made possible by generous funding from the Anschutz Family Foundation.

Studio A and B now has a brand new Clear-Com Tempest900 professional wireless intercom system. The system has multi-channel, long-range functionality that will keep you and your crew in contact between both studios. The stationary cameras in Studio A will also be hard-wired into the same intercom system.

The previous ComStar wireless set is now available for rent through denveropenmedia.org for those field producers who want to have direct communication with their crew while on location.

AmeriCorps VISTAs Begin Service at OMF
Open Media Foundation is happy to welcome two new AmeriCorps VISTAs to our staff. Nicole Marquez and Corey Beas
ley will be working with Open Media Foundation for one year of service. A third VISTA will join the organization in April.

The VISTAs will be focusing their work on improving our relationships with targeted low-income communities and nonprofit organizations who serve them, working closely with the Education Department, and helping out with the DOM member experience and fundraising initiatives.

Both VISTAs bring a passion for community and hard work, and we look forward to their efforts in expanding the capacity and reach of the Open Media Foundation.

The Open Media Foundation is particularly thankful to the Corporation for National & Community Service for this partnership on the 50th year of the AmeriCorps VISTA program.
Web Client - Community Facts
The Piton Foundationas part of Gary Community Investments
, has always been committed to supporting children and families by fostering community and providing youth and early childhood developmental opportunities. Community Facts launched in 2004 to provide individuals and organizations with free neighborhood-level data about Denver-area neighborhoods, communities and families.

An updated version of Community Facts, developed by the Open Media Foundation, is the first web-based application using expanded geographic reach provided by the Data Initiative. The website is powered by the Colorado Data Engine and provides neighborhood-level data for the Denver metro area's seven counties. By employing census-level data and analysis, community change initiatives can be better supported for community organizations, researchers and direct service providers.
New OMF Office Manager
Please join us in welcoming our new addition to the OMF team -Shannon Altner. Shannon will serve as Office Manager.
