City of Louisville and OMP
The Open Media Foundation is proud to announce our collaboration with the City of Louisville. The Open Media Project for Government is now available on Louisville's new municipal website. Wanting to deliver live-streaming and archived City Council meeting videos, with time-stamped agendas and easy sharing tools, the City of Louisvile made the cost-effective decision to switch to OMP. Local residents will be able to follow every City Council, Planning Commission and Historic Preservation Commission meeting live online as well as on demand.
Letter from the Executive Director

Thanks to all of the people who attended the 2014 Independent Voices Celebration. Your participation and donations helped the Open Media Foundation raise over $10,000 to help support our work in Services, Education and Tools to put the power of media and technology in the hands of the people.

The Independent Voice of the Year Award went to Pete Turner and Virgil Dickerson of Illegal Pete's and the Greater Than Collective. Bailey Bermond of the OMF youth group won the award for the highest rated show for 2014 for her video Gabrielle's Garden: A Visual Poem.

A special thanks to our food and beverage sponsors - Wines Off Wynkoop, Illegal Pete's, Snarf's Sandwiches, Breckenridge Brewery, Wynkoop Brewing Company, WaterCourse Foods, and City O' City. Also deep thanks to all of the companies and individuals who donated to our silent auction.

Meet Ivy Pharr, OMF's Interim Office Manager and DOM Intern
We had a chance to sit down and talk to Ivy Pharr, OMF's new Interim Office Manager. Ivy has also served as a Station Intern with Denver Open Media for multiple terms. This is what she had to share with us.

Tell us about yourself.

When I was four I got my first camera, a cheap 110 film camera, and I had lofty dreams of becoming a National Geographic photographer. Being painfully shy, cameras gave me a voice without ever having to say a word. I passed on scholarships to study photography at Pratt Institute and Syracuse because I couldn't afford the remaining tuition. Instead, I took my time and graduated in 2010 from the University of Colorado Denver with degrees in anthropology and political science. During my last year of college, I was fortunate to learn video production in anthropology, giving me the opportunity to work creatively again.
