Educational Scholarships
Thanks to generous funding from The Denver Foundation, the Ed Limato Foundation, and other donors, the Open Media Foundation is offering a limited number of full educational scholarships to person who identify themselves as GLBT, Latino/a or Hispanic, or as having no post-secondary education. Chromebook Giveaway
Congratulations to the Living Closer Foundation, our September Chromebook winners! The Open Media Foundation offers classes and workshops on various tech-related topics every week. Click here for a full list of classes offered.
Thanks to support from Google's Boulder office, the nonprofit organization that attends the most OMF classes each month in 2014 will be awarded with a brand new HP Chromebook11!

Building Mixer
To tenants of 700 Kalamath Street: You are invited to a building mixer. Come eat, drink, meet your neighbors, learn how you can collaborate, and get any questions you may have about the building answered. The mixer will take place on November 7, 5 pm, before the November Open Music Sessions.

The Open Media Foundation is hiring three new full-time positions, including an Office Manager, Video Production Specialist, and an Account Executive, as well as two AmeriCorps VISTA positions. The three staff positions range in salary from $30,000 to $50,000 per year, and include benefits such as an employer-sponsored Health Savings Account, paid vacation, and a 4-to-6 week paid sabbatical every third year.

Open Music Sessions at Denver Open Media, November 7
On the first Friday of each month, DOM hosts a free community event with local performance groups, musical acts and nonprofit partners. These events are broadcast live on Comcast Channel 57 in Denver as well as streamed on DOM's website.  Events are cablecast and streamed live in Denver Open Media's Studio A.

Join DOM for the November 7th Open Music Sessions featuring a live music performance by Denver band Vetta Star.

Comprised of members Brandon Meagher, Tim Bejarano, and Jordan Ast, Vetta Star feeds off each other in genres such as jazz and modern rock. Check out their Facebook page here.

The show's nonprofit spotlight will feature a discussion with denhac - The Denver Hackspace, new tenants at 700 Kalamath Street.

OMF is pleased to announce that it has received a $2,500 Technical Assistance grant from The Denver Foundation. The grants enable nonprofit organizations to increase their capacity, effectiveness and efficiency. OMF will be using the generous support to fund inclusiveness efforts and for media education scholarships. Click here to read more.
