One Day in Denver -  "Your Day. Your City. Your Future."
Part of One Day on Earth, One Day in Denver - "Your Day. Your City. Your Future." will take place on April 26th. The event is engaging the entire Denver Metropolitan Area in a participatory media gathering project wherein not-for-profit organizations of every type, governmental agencies, inspired citizens and filmmakers will investigate and capture footage to address questions about the future of our city. The resulting media will be shared via interactive, geo-tagged, participant pages set-up on the event website.

Sign up to participate and examine questions related to the future of Denver through YOUR lens. There are no specific technical requirements and films can be shot on any equipment including phones, iPads etc. Raw footage will be uploaded immediately following the event and should you be interested in creating a short film, the recommended length is 1-4 minutes; there is a 4-week time period during which to edit. People all over the city are gearing up to give voice to their passions and work. Be heard!

HandsOn Tech Denver News

HandsOn Tech Denver is offering two free workshops for nonprofits this month.

Livestreaming for Nonprofits on April 16th will equip you with the knowledge necessary to stream live video of your events to YouTube for free.

The Minute Message Model on April 24th teaches leaders to reorganize and prioritize their messages so that whether they have one minute, two minutes, five, or ten to share their message, they can be confident that they have spent their time well. If you feel your nonprofit's work is being held back by muddled messaging, you're not alone. After this session, you will be able to make a powerful connection with new supporters and remind current ones of why you're important to them.

OMF Web Development Clients
As part of the Services work of Open Media Foundation, the web development team has just completed new website for two clients - Campus Compact of the Mountain West and National Get Outdoors Day.

Campus Compact of the Mountain West is a membership organization of college and university presidents devoted to promoting civic learning. CCMW is part of a national coalition of more than 1100 colleges and universities who are passionately committed to the value service learning and civic engagement brings to higher education and the community.

Our team redesigned their website and improved the functionality to allow for easier maintenance.

National Get Outdoors Day is a fun, free, active day with a zillion things for everyone to do. The seventh annual event will take place on June 14th, 2014. Our team created a scroll page for the event which allows all event-related information to be found on a single page. The page is also responsive so it adapts to the screen size of mobile and tablet devices as well as desktops.

The Open Media Foundation offers website design and development, video production, and graphic design and branding services to other nonprofit organizations and government agencies. For more information about these services, contact Rita Wold at ritaw@openmediafoundation.org.
