DOM Equipment News - Introducing the NEW Studio B

Thanks to DOM members Ed Chasteen and Dewayne Jackson, Studio B has been successfully renovated, featuring a new cyclorama green screen wall by transforming it into a true cyclorama wall. The 13'x13' curved semicircle construction will provide 180 degrees of wall space for members to easily record professional green screen footage and use virtual sets for live and taped studio productions.

See a photo below of the new Studio B.

First Friday at Denver Open Media, March 7
On the first Friday of each month, DOM hosts a free community event with local performance groups, musical acts and nonprofit partners. These events are broadcast live on Comcast Channel 57 in Denver as well as streamed on DOM's website.  Events are cablecast and streamed live in Denver Open Media's Studio A.

Join DOM on the First Friday of March, featuring Fort Collins' Post Paradise. Blending strong lyrical and melodic influences from multiple genres, the four musicians of Post Paradise (including one cello player) deliver an indie/alternative rock sound that is unique and memorable.

A Call for Table Captains
The Open Media Foundation is seeking table captains for its annual fundraising breakfast in May. Table captains are responsible for filling a table of 10 people for the breakfast for this event that will introduce them to the great work that we do here at OMF. If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact Sarah Shirazi at sarah@openmediafoundation.org.
HandsOn Tech Denver News

HandsOn Tech Denver has begun its Deep Dive program, an opportunity for nonprofits to receive one-on-one tech assistance from skills-based volunteers. Nonprofits in the Denver community who assist communities of lower income are eligible to receive a Deep Dive. If you belong to a nonprofit or know somebody who might benefit from this pro bono tech service, please email Jacob or Robbie at handsontech@openmedifafoundation.org. Nonprofits can apply for this free opportunity at omfound.org/handsontech.

As always, HandsOn Tech Denver is looking for volunteers skilled in technology to deliver free tech trainings and to implement pro bono tech projects for nonprofits. For more information, visit omfound.org/handsontech.

Tell us a little about yourself.

I am from a small Upstate New York town, Saranac Lake, where sometimes the temperature reached negative 30 degrees before windchill. I learned at an early age to adapt to enjoying the winters, and appreciating the summers. I love hiking, skiing, kayaking, and pretty much just trying to be involved in anything active. I just purchased a bike here, and I'm excited for warmer weather and exploring the trails. Before I moved to Colorado this year I was living in Brooklyn, New York and working freelance trying to make my way in the world of Production. I went to the State University of New York (SUNY) Plattsburgh where I received my Bachelor's in Communications and had a concentration in TV/Video Production.
