ANNOUNCEMENT: San Antonio - D.H. Realty Partners announced today that Gilles Ghez has joined their real estate team, bringing more than eighteen years of experience in commercial real estate. Ghez has a strong background in real estate brokerage having worked with Fortune 500 corporate clients and foreign investors. The multi-lingual broker has represented major, national clients including Time Warner and Dilliard's. Ghez previously served as a senior associate for Grubb & Ellis Company, Kennedy Wilson International, and Prudential Real Estate, before joining the team at DH Realty Partners.
HOSPITALITY: Midland - An individual/personal trust has purchased the Country Inn & Suites, a 66-room hotel property located at 920 West Interstate 20 in Midland, TX. Jake Gaddy, Allan Miller and Chris Gomes, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap's Austin, San Antonio and Dallas offices, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a private investor. The buyer was also secured by Jake Gaddy and Allan Miller.
OFFICE: Austin - Waller, one of the nation's preeminent law firms servicing the healthcare industry, has signed a lease for its new office on the 22nd floor of 100 Congress on the corner of Second Street and Congress Avenue in downtown Austin. The 10,799 SF Class A office space will house the firm's growing team of attorneys and staff. Will Douglas and Jerry Frey with CBRE Austin represented Waller in the transaction. Troy Holme and Katie Ekstrom with CBRE Austin represented the landlord, New York-based Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
RETAIL: El Paso - Teen fashion retailer rue21 has leased a 5,000 SF store at El Paseo Marketplace, located at 1846 Joe Battle Boulevard in El Paso. Bryan Cornelius and Chris Corbin of Venture Commercial represented rue21. The landlord, River Oaks Properties was self-represented.
Jared, The Galleria of Jewelry has signed a lease to open its first El Paso location in a 6,057 SF store at The Fountains at Farah, a 600,000 SF power lifestyle center located at the northeast corner of Interstate 10 and Hawkins Boulevard. Larry Leon and Ross McCook of Venture Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant, Sterling Inc. in the lease negotiations, along with master brokers Herbert Prince and Stu Solomon of Pacific Realty Partners. Walt Davis of Centergy Retail, LLC represented the landlord.

OFFICE: Farmers Branch - Proton Partners LP has purchased two single-story office buildings, totaling 37,771 SF, at 14330 Midway Rd., Farmers Branch, TX. Leigh C. Richter, senior vice president of Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services, represented the seller; Maxim Integrated Inc. Greg McLane of Swearingen Realty Group LLC represented the buyer.
RETAIL: Arlington - A private investor acquired Concentra Urgent Care Medical Center, an 8,462 SF medical office building at 511 E Interstate 20 in Arlington, TX. Adam Mancinone and Blake Barbarisi of Marcus & Millichap in New Haven, CT represented the buyer in the transaction. Alvin Mansour of Marcus & Millichap in San Diego, CA represented the seller.

OFFICE: Houston - Selleck Chemical has leased 7,105 SF at WA Development's Corporate Centre Kirby, 9310 Kirby Dr. for their North American HQ and distribution hub. The offices and distribution facility are presently under construction with an estimated occupancy of Mid June. WA Development's David R David handled the transaction on behalf of the owner and Selleck Chemical represented themselves.
