NORTH TEXAS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

   

LAND: Mesquite - A Forney-based business owner has purchased approximately 9.5 acres (413,820 SF) of industrial land located at 206 E Highway 80. The land will be developed to house a brand new industrial warehouse and a metal fabrication business. Jerry Averyt and Greg Trout of Henry S. Miller's Brokerage Office - Industrial Division represented the seller, First State Bank of Mesquite, in the transaction. The buyer's representative was undisclosed.

 
 

OFFICE: Irving - Nationstar Mortgage LLC has leased an additional 105,559 SF at 4000 Horizon Way in Irving.They will now occupy the entire building which totals 292,988 sf. Terry Quinn with Cresa Dallas represented the tenant which has their company headquarters in Lewisville. The landlord, First Tennessee Bank National Association from Memphis, was represented by Ann Huntington and Dennis Barnes with CBRE in Dallas.

 

OFFICE: Arlington - AVK Associates LLC has purchased Fielder Place, a 30,478 SF office building located at 1633 W. Division St.. Simon and Scott, veteran brokers of REO properties, marked their first disposition for US Bank with the deal. Jose Thankachan of Beam Real Estate LLC represented the buyer.

    

 

MULTIFAMILY: Irving - An undisclosed byer has purchased the Briarcrest Apartments, a 51-unit multifamily property located at 506 North Rogers Road, just off of west Irving Boulevard which is one of the main thoroughfares in Irving. Boyan Radic, an investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap's Fort. Worth office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company. The buyer's representative was undisclosed.

HOSPITALITY: Houston - A California based private investor has purchased the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston Kingwood, a 72 room hotel located at 22675 Highway 59 North in Kingwood, TX and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston Brookhollow, a 62 room hotel located at 12439 Northwest Freeway in Houston, TX. Rahul Bijlani, Michael Yu and Eric Guerrero of the National Hospitality Group in Marcus & Millichap's Houston office had the exclusive listing to market the properties on behalf of the sellers, private investors. 

  

INDUSTRIAL: Houston - Veritrust, Inc. has leased a 41,937 SF space at 2155 Silber Road.  The landlord, Texas Industrial REIT Portfolio, Ltd. was represented by Matteson Hamilton of Stream Realty in the transaction.  Chris Kugle of NAI Houston represented the tenant.

 

OFFICE: The Woodlands - The Montgomery County Food Bank has purchased 5.5155 acres at 3 Prospect Point Drive in the Woodlands Trade Center. The site is improved with a 55,978 SF office / warehouse facility which contains freezer, cooler, distribution and office space. Steve Darnall, a Principal with Fuller Realty Partners, LLC represented the Seller, Fuller Income Two, Ltd., an affiliated entity of Houston based Fuller Realty Partners, LLC, in the transaction. The buyer's representative was not disclosed.

 

LAND: Houston - Coldwell Banker Commercial United, Realtors announces the sale of a 131,551.2 SF (3.02 acres) tract of land located at 2323 Lauder, #25 in Houston. Vince Elder and Daniel Bekele of Coldwell Banker Commercial United, Realtors represented the seller, and Jose Zavala of Realty Associates represented the buyer.

 

ANNOUNCEMENT: Houston - Transwestern's Houston headquarters today announced that Kevin Roberts has been promoted to President, Southwest. In this role, Roberts oversees brokerage services, property management and development projects across Transwestern's Southwest territory, which includes offices in Austin, Denver, Houston, New Orleans, Salt Lake City and San Antonio. Roberts, who transferred from San Antonio to Houston for the new position, also serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the commercial real estate services firm.

  

ANNOUNCEMENT: Houston - Transwestern Southwest today announced that Robert Gaston has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Central Texas. Gaston's expanded role is both a recognition of his service to the firm and to facilitate Transwestern's internal reorganization in which nine regions were consolidated into seven territories. He will have overall responsibility for Central Texas, which includes over 150 team members and a portfolio in excess of 16 million square feet of commercial property. In his new role, Gaston will lead development and implementation of the Central Texas's cities strategic plan for owner and user oriented service lines.

OFFICE: San Antonio - An undisclosed buyer has purchased Brookhollow Park, located at 911 Central Parkway North. Brookhollow Park is a 102,466 SF, Class A, multi-tenant office building located in the North Central submarket of San Antonio. The four-story property was 100 percent leased at the time of sale. Grilliette, Hale Umstattd and Leah Gallagher of Transwestern represented the seller, Grosvenor International, in the transaction. Within 42 days of listing the property, Brookhollow Park was awarded to the buyer and closed 28 days later.

OFFICE: San Antonio - A 24,050 SF office/warehouse space has been leased at Perrin Creek 12 (4602 Perrin Creek, San Antonio, TX).  Tim McBrearty of Retail Solutions represented the tenant, and ProLogis represented the landlord.

  

ANNOUNCEMENT: Austin - Kerry Klenzendorf, CPM was installed as President of the Austin Chapter of IREM. Kerry Klenzendorf is a Senior Property Manager at Endeavor Real Estate. She has been an IREM member for seven years and was awarded the CPM designation in 2009. The chapter also appointed the following officers for 2013 President Elect - Kim Morgan, CPM (Thomas Properties), Treasurer - Amy Dandridge, CPM (Kucera Management) and Secretary - Kathleen Ramlow, CPM (Cousins Properties).

  

INDUSTRIAL: Corpus Christi - Austin Anderson has purchased 2.07 acres and a 36,500 SF Industrial Building located at 1248 S. Padre Island Drive. The seller, Mark Rand Holdings Company, was represented by KMD Studley in the transaction. The buyer was represented by Mark Adame of Joe Adame and Associates.
