Deborah Proctor of Macedon (Wayne County) received Girl Scouting's highest adult honor, the Thanks Badge, at last night's Adult Recognition dinner in Geneva.  Our next dinner is Thursday in New Hartford! Once all awards are given, look for the list on our website. (We don't want to spoil the surprise!!)

To be eligible to win, our Twitter followers had to retweet ALL five of the skills girls learn in the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

Gold Award Class of 2014 
2014 Gold Award Shannon B. Shannon B. of Theresa, NY  plans to attend Jefferson Community College in the fall.  She worked with many community groups to recognize veterans serving our country. Her efforts led to the erection of The Fallen Heroes Monument at the American Legion Post 904 in Alexandria Bay.
 
2014 Gold Award Caitlin B. Caitlin B. of Endicott, NY plans to attend college and study electrical engineering. She worked with the Broome County Office of the Aging creating gardens with the seniors at various senior centers. Her efforts have led to a sustainable program of providing free vegetables to enhance their dining services.

Are you the parent of a first time camper? Join us for an open house, the stay a little for an informative meeting designed just for you! The orientation will focus on health and safety issues, equipment, clothing and other camp needs, and how to prevent homesickness. You will meet summer staff and have your questions answered!
