Cad 10461 sponsored cabin at Festival to hand out sticker and bookmarks
Girl Scouts from Oswego were well represented at the 2nd Annual Camp Hollis Family Harvest Festival! Cadette Troop 10461 sponsored a cabin for the event, and Daisy Troop 10245 and Junior Troops 10982 and 10291 joined in the fun.  Girls handed out candy and Girl Scout stickers and bookmarks to the many trick-or-treaters. The girls also were also featured in the local paper.

Send your potential Photo of the Week to Kim Dunne, media manager. Submit clear, quality photos. Close-ups of activities make the best shots!
Girls! Go on a destination in 2014!

Girl Scouts of the USA destinations are nationally-sponsored trips exclusively designed for Girl Scouts. Girls apply individually for the adventure they want to take.  Go on a trip to Chile for a multi-sport adventure! Attend the Oxford Leadership Youth Program at Oxford University, England!  Or visit four countries in 12 days with the "Amazing Oz & the South Pacific" destination!  There are many more to choose from! Or take a short term "Getaway" to Florida, California or other sites in the US!

See details of trips.

Applications must be sent to Karen Strife by November 4 for the first round of interviews.
The next round of applications are due February 7. This round fills out any vacant spots on trips.

Questions? Call Karen at 315.782-1890 ext. 2215

California Gold Candidate Shares Videos
Laura N. of California is taking action for the Girl Scout Gold Award by producing fire safety information. She worked with the Orange County Fire Department to create these three videos.  Part of the objective for the project is to see how successful the videos are by the number of "views."   Take a look!
