Photo of the Week

Girl Scout Cadette Isabel C. of Ithaca recently completed her Take Action project to earn the Girl Scout Silver Award. She collected 240 books for the Family Reading Partnership.  She received her first book as a newborn in the hospital from the Partnership and she wanted to give back! Isabel is pictured with FRP director Brigid Hubberman.

Send your potential Photo of the Week to Kim Dunne, media manager. Submit clear, quality photos. Close-ups of activities make the best shots!
Fall Recruitment Continues

First Lady Michelle Obama's recruitment campaign video is now available with Spanish-language subtitles. It can be found here.

President Barack Obama's sister, Dr. Maya Soetoro-Ng, has recorded two videos to support the "I can't wait to..." recruitment efforts! In response to First Lady Michelle Obama's video, Dr. Soetoro-Ng and her daughter Suhaila talk about what they can't wait to do this Girl Scout year! The videos can be found here and here. Kudos to Girl Scouts of Hawai`i for making this a reality!

If anyone is looking for some historical context-setting in regards to the Honorary National President position, the Girl Scout Blog has a post titled, "What is the Position of the Honorary National President?" Check it out!
