Back to School Horsey Style!

Get ready for a fresh and successful new school year. This three-day, two-night camp program (Aug 19-21), presented by a retired NYS school teacher and qualified riding instructors, includes everything horsey: riding, grooming, barn work.  These activities are rounded out with math, English and science lessons, all related to horses. Brownie 20528 Garbage Pick Up
Girl Scout Brownie Troop 20528 decorated garbage cans for Weller Park and the Village of Mohawk as part of the World of Girls Journey Take Action project. Girls focused on keeping their community clean. They are also working to collect goods for the local Humane Society.

On-line Registration System Maintenance
E-Biz, the on-line registration system for membership, program and meetings will be down from August 9-12 for system maintenance to enhance the program. During the eBiz downtime, we encourage volunteers and parents to use the paper registration process (in Personify) for "early bird" membership, program and meeting reservations. E-Biz will resume on-line processing on August 13. Thank you for your patience!
100 Reasons to Re-register This Summer
Troop deadline is tomorrow for shop dollars contest! Existing troops that register online for 2013-14 by August 1, 2013 will be entered to win $100 "shop dollars" to spend on anything in the shop or council programs! For the "early bird," each girl that is registered by August 30, earns her service unit $2.50. These funds help with service unit encampments and other fun activities for girls!

Don't Miss This Museum Exhibit Celebrating Girl Scouting's 100th Anniversary! 
The Discovery Center  A wonderful hands-on interactive display in Binghamton. The museum has extended the display's run and will now be open through October 2013!. A birthday bash is being planned on October 19. The Discovery Center is looking for Girl Scouts to help with a history skit, or some other program for the public that day as they close the 100th Anniversary exhibit. Interested?
