Photo of the Week!

 Snake at Skaneateles SU campout

The Skaneateles Service Unit held its encampment the first weekend in June at Camp Hoover. The safari theme brought Dan the Snakeman to visit. Girls also did letterboxing, animal themed crafts, and enjoyed a team-building obstacle course. They finished the weekend with a bridging ceremony.

Join the CEO's Girl Advisory Board!

The input and advice you can provide our CEO Pam Hyland helps set the direction for Girl Scouting in GSNYPENN.  The Girl Advisory Board is a cooperative learning team and a safe place where girls can share their thoughts about what girls need and want, and their ideas of how Girl Scouts can be the program of choice for girls today. Meetings are held quarterly, usually on a Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Cicero Service Center.

100 Reasons to Re-Register Early!

Existing troops that register online for 2013-14 by August 1, 2013 will be entered to win $100 "shop dollars" to spend on anything in the shop or council programs!  Each girl that is registered by August 1, earns her service unit $2.50. These funds help with service unit encampments and other fun activities for girls!

Speak Out and Be Counted: Vote for Girl-Created PSAs

Girl Scouts of the USA's winter-spring 2013 Girl Scouts Speak Out! asked girls to make public-service announcements (PSAs) supporting the theme of Friendship First. We all want to live in a world without bullying, and Girl Scouts can show us how to get there. The theme is closed for additional submissions and the voting has begun.Vote until June 15.
