April is Forever Green Month! Listen to Podcast

With Earth Day this month it's a good time to think about the environment and how we can protect it and make it a better place! Listen to the podcast for April about the Forever Green initiative. Our Girl Leadership Team  is holding several Save the Water Days that your troops and girls can get involved in and do great things in your communities.

Gold Awardees:  Samantha and Caitlyn

SammanthaSamantha is completing her freshman year at SUNY Cortland where she plans to earn a degree in communications.  She is a graduate of Sidney High School. Her Gold Award Take Action Project was supplying books to children living in poverty. "Books for Hope" can now be donated and picked up at the Sidney Boys & Girls Club.

CaitlynCaitlyn, a senior at Victor High School, plans to study art and special education in college. She loved "Going door to door trying to get people to buy cookies, and delivering them was so much fun, even if it was cold outside!"  Caitlyn addressed poverty in her project, helping parents give children a good Christmas without worrying about the cost. She put together stockings full of gifts for families. The Salvation Army is continuing this project.
